Hi guys. I must apologize for not posting anything on this blog in a long while now. Not that we have been idle. In fact, there has been barely enough time to sit down and blog these past few months.

I will attempt to make up for that by posting a number of updates, photos and general photography gist. In this post, I will be sharing a few pictures from a session we had with Iroko Records, a music and entertainment outfit here in Abuja. (And I must tell you, these dudes are good!) They had a 'cypher', a kind of freestyle rap session. And Cognito Studios was privileged handle the camera action. I will be uploading a video of the cypher on our Facebook page very soon. In the meantime, here are a few photos from the day, edited of course to suit the mood and style of the cypher

Definition of Cypher 1: (source-http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=cypher)
Anything cyclical. If your freestyling, you rap in a cypher (one after the other). Interrupting another man will break that cypher (unless he's next in line and the dude behind him is falling off).

Definition 2:

To freestyle but not in battle terms ...You killed that cypher!

Definition 3: (I like this one)
The process of tapping into your subconcious. A state of mind where thoughts and actoins flow from your mind rather than being instrumented.
Clearly shown in freestyle/beatbox circles and breakdancing.
