Adaobi and Obinna...Preparing for the day (Part 2)
Preparing for a wedding is not easy. It is a period full of hope, anxiety, planning, disappointments, pleasant surprises and high expectations. It is also a period you discover your strengths and weaknesses, and enjoy the support of close friends and family.
When that special day finally arrives, everything happens in a flurry and hurry of activity. However some couples manage to keep their cool and look graceful through it all. Adaobi and Obinna were one of such couples.
While getting ready, so much is at stake. There are deadlines and time schedules; there are a few loopholes here and there regarding the planning of the event, you are just hoping your organizers have got everything covered...all this and more runs through your mind.
As the clock ticks slowly to the moment all have been waiting for, you also begin to think about your sweetheart...wondering if all is going on well at their end, hoping no one gets to the church late, and hoping all goes well...
And this period is also a time when you enjoy the company, support and prayers of friends and family. A mother supporting her daughter, sisters and friends rallying around you to give you moral support and diffuse the mounting tension...
Then finally the moment arrives and it is time to put an end to all the preparations and get to the business of the day. You are probably running late already, though it is commonly said: a bride is never late - it's her day!.
Well, behold the beautiful bride, and her dashing groom.
